It was 5000 years ago that the first “purse” was worn, and it was a man that carried it. It was in the form of a coin purse. From there, they eventually became known as “ handbags.” A larger accessory to hold larger, personal items..Code for “EVERYTHING.”
Fast forward to today, handbags have evolved into a genre all their own. They are referred to by many names. Totes, satchels, cross-body, hobo, evening bags, clutches, you name it and someone somewhere will be carrying one.
They come in all shapes, sizes, materials to help us all breeze through our busy days with grace and ease.
This brief history of the world of handbags is the reason that Beautiful Handbags Online was born. It is a testament to my love for beautiful handbags that also fill a need for style and function.
